• The 240XL/241XL cartridges are equipped with the latest upgraded smart chip; upon installation your printer will accurately read the ink levels — no cumbersome reset required.
• "Low Ink" or "Ink Out" prompts are normal with non-OEM chips and do not affect print quality — these alerts can be safely ignored or dismissed.
• Recommend turning off printer auto-updates to avoid potential firmware changes that could affect third-party ink recognition.
• Do not touch the copper-colored electrical contacts or the ink nozzles on the cartridge.
• If the printer displays "Ink Not Recognized" or similar prompt, remove the cartridge and reinstall it firmly into the designated slot until it clicks. If the issue persists, power-cycle the printer.
• When replacing, pull out the old cartridge, insert the new 240XL into the Black slot and the new 241XL into the Tri-color slot, then close the front cover — the MG/MX/TS series share the same PG-240 / CL-241 slot layout.
