These were purchased at an electronics wholesale company liquidation earlier this year, and they were brand new in the original factory trays. We packaged them in heavy Ziplok bags for resale.

A customer inquired about the contact finish, noting that he didn't see gold contacts in the pictures. Tyco shows this part number as "gold plated contacts." But like him, we didn't see any at first either. After taking them out in the sunlight, we saw a little patch of gold a millimeter or two long on each contact. I guess that's what passes for 'gold plated' nowadays. However, the gold was located at the exact point where the plug contacts would rest against the receptacle contacts. When we stopped and thought about it, plating the entire surface would just be wasting gold. Ya' learn something new every day.
