❓ FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions Q: Is this modem compatible with my internet box? A: The Vigor130 works in bridge mode, it connects directly to your ADSL/VDSL line and requires a router or PC with PPPoE client for the internet connection. It is not compatible with traditional internet boxes. Q: Why is the power cable not included? A: This used equipment is sold without its original power adapter. It requires a standard DC 12V/1A adapter (commercially available). Q: What is the difference between a bridge modem and an ADSL router? A: A bridge modem like the Vigor130 only converts the DSL signal to Ethernet, letting your router manage the internet connection. This provides more flexibility and avoids double NAT issues. Q: Does this modem support optical fiber? A: No, the Vigor130 is specifically designed for ADSL2+ and VDSL2 connections over copper lines. For optical fiber, you need a dedicated fiber modem. Q: Is the equipment tested before shipping? A: Yes, each Draytek Vigor130 modem is tested and verified functional before shipping. The 30-day warranty covers any malfunction. Q: Can I use this modem with any ISP? A: The Vigor130 is pre-configured for European ISPs and adapts automatically. It is compatible with most ADSL/VDSL providers using PPPoE or PPPoA.
