This is a tested, partially working, AS IS for parts or repair HP Compaq Desktop motherboard, model M2N68-LA.
It has the AM3 socket, and runs DDR3.
Story:
This board was pulled from an old Compaq desktop PC that I obtained in non-working condition at the time. The PC had a 1 - core sempron CPU with 2GB of RAM installed.
Upon booting up the board, I noticed the CPU fan error persisted occasionally during startup, even when I most certainly had a properly functioning CPU fan plugged in. Nevertheless though, with cpu fan errors aside, it was a decent working board.
The board then had a Phenom II x6 1055T processor with proper cooling, an RX 470, and 12GB of RAM installed.
This board was then used in my girlfriend’s little gaming PC for about 6 months until one day, the fan error seemed to be happening every time, and then eventually, the PC just stopped booting up after it got past the startup screen.
It just stays at the black screen with a dot forever now.
This board was well taken care of, and does not have any physical damage to any of the circuitry, may be an issue with the drives I was using on it, but still not sure, and don’t have time to mess with it anymore.
Therefore the board is being sold AS IS for PARTS or REPAIR.
So if you think you can fix this board, or may just want to use it for parts, go ahead and buy it, and it’ll be yours.
