VINTAGE APPLE II 5.25-INCH FLOPPY DISK COLLECTION – 50+ DISKS – LOS ALTOS, CALIFORNIA PROVENANCE – EARLY APPLE SOFTWARE, PROGRAMMING, UTILITIES, BUSINESS SOFTWARE & GAMES
Offered here is an extensive vintage Apple II 5.25-inch floppy disk collection originating from the personal working Apple II library of Gerald A. Sikora of Los Altos, California.
Sikora was a longtime electronics enthusiast and licensed amateur-radio operator, originally using call sign WA6UFS and later W6CWO. Period amateur-radio records document his activity in the Los Altos area, including a UHF repeater associated with his call sign. In addition to amateur radio, he maintained an extensive Apple II collection and had broad interests in electronics and camera equipment.
This is being offered as ONE COLLECTION.
The disks have NOT been tested or imaged by me and are being sold as found, with no guarantee regarding readability, functionality, completeness of software, or exact contents.
The disks were reorganized after acquisition, so their current arrangement in the storage case is NOT represented as the original owner's filing order.
What makes this collection especially interesting is the evidence that it was an actively used Apple II software library rather than simply an assortment of later-acquired vintage disks.
A substantial group carries small handwritten red catalog numbers. Surviving numbered disks include:

The surviving consecutive numbering from #13 through #21 is particularly noteworthy and appears to represent part of Sikora's personal software cataloging system.
EARLY DATE
One of the numbered disks, SUPER DUNGEON #32, carries the handwritten date:
11-13-79
This date is reported exactly as written on the disk. No claim is made as to whether this represents the software's publication date, copy date, modification date, or cataloging date.
APPLE FORTRAN FORT1 / FORT2 PAIR
One of the most unusual pieces in the collection is a matching pair labeled:
APPLE FORTRAN – FORT 1
APPLE FORTRAN – FORT 2
Both are genuine Apple-branded Diskware media carrying printed Apple part number:
680-0050-00
This creates an interesting period media anomaly.
Published Apple parts documentation identifies standard production Apple FORTRAN media as:
680-0048 – FORT 1
680-0047 – FORT 2
while Apple part number 680-0050 is documented as APPLE PILOT LESSON media.
Therefore, these appear to be period FORTRAN working disks made using/reusing Apple 680-0050-00 Diskware media.
They have NOT been imaged, so their actual recorded contents and software revisions are unknown.
No claim is being made that these are prototypes, unreleased Apple software, or Apple-internal development disks.

CONDITION / IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE
ALL FLOPPY DISKS ARE UNTESTED.
I have not attempted to boot, format, repair, initialize, alter, or archive/image these disks.
Because magnetic media of this age can deteriorate, absolutely no guarantee is made that any particular disk remains readable or that the handwritten label accurately represents its current recorded contents.
Some disks show normal age-related wear, handwriting, label wear, discoloration, old stickers, write-protect tabs and other evidence of actual period use.
Please examine all photographs carefully for physical condition.
The storage case is included. Its top/lid has damage/crushing from age/storage. It is included as part of the collection rather than represented as being in excellent condition.
The disks have been reorganized since acquisition. Their present physical order inside the case is NOT represented as Sikora's original arrangement.
PROVENANCE
This collection originated from the extensive Apple II collection of Gerald A. Sikora of Los Altos, California.
Sikora was a longtime hands-on electronics enthusiast and licensed amateur-radio operator known by call signs WA6UFS and later W6CWO. His interests included amateur radio, computers, cameras and other electronic equipment.
The combination of personally numbered disks, working/configuration disks, programming languages, compilers, productivity software, specialized applications and games is consistent with an actively used personal Apple II software library.
No claim is being made that Gerald Sikora was employed by Apple Computer or that these disks originated internally at Apple.
Likewise, no disk in this lot is being represented as a prototype, unreleased program, unique surviving copy, Apple development disk, or Apple-employee disk unless explicitly identifiable from its physical label.
The collection is being offered for its documented physical contents, provenance and potential historical/collector interest.
CONTENTS HAVE NOT BEEN DIGITALLY EXAMINED.
