HIGH-DEMANDKEYCAPSFOR APPLE IIe $3.40 each + $5.75 shipping
INFO. NEEDED WHEN ORDERINGAPPLE IIe KEYCAPS:(1) What color is the BOTTOM of your keycaps: OLIVE GREENor BLACK?(2) Does your IIe keyboard have a NUMERIC KEYPAD at the right?(3) If I lack the correct bottom color of your keycaps, can theother bottom color be substituted?(4) What is the color of your KEYSWITCH STEMS: Eitherround BLACK-CROSS-STEM or THIN-CREAM-STEM ?(5) If the keycap is WIDE, how many "cross-sockets" areon the keycap's bottom side? For most keycaps, there isjust one cross-socket; a few keycaps have two or eventhree cross-sockets.
These were salvaged from several 1984-1989junked IIe keyboards, with olive-green keycaps.
Plenty of olive-green-bottomkeycaps are available, with thecross-mount on the bottom of thekeycap. Both the black and the "thin-white-stem" key-switchesare stillavailable.
The photos show olive-green keycaps; somewith olive-green bottoms, others withblack bottoms.Specify which bottomcolor is preferred. The $3.40 price is for each item, but higher price of $6.80 each forSPACEBAR or ESC.
TOP-COLOR OF KEYCAPS CANNOTBE GUARANTEED ! Note that Apple IIEkeycaps are 30-45 years old; plastics canchange color with age, or with exposureto sunlight.Suggestion: If keycapcolor is important to you, BUY SEVERALIDENTICAL KEYCAPS so you can installthe best-color-matching keycap. Save anyextra keycaps received, for possiblelater use.
$3.40 each, except that TWO aredouble this price @ $6.80 each:SPACEBAR and ESC. These twoare very high demand, and areoften out-of-stock. If buying theSPACEBAR, tell me its LENGTHNEEDED; the Apple IIe keyboardshad three different spacebar lengths.NO GUARANTEE ON THE KEYCAP COLOR!Note that the IIE keycaps are nearly40 years old. Color changes are likelyto happen to plastic during that verylong time interval.
"HIGH-DEMAND" IIE KEYCAPS:These are now sold in this ad,at a higher price, because the "H.D."keycaps are in high demand. The "H.D."IIe keycaps include the following:
SPACEBAR DELETE SHIFT RETURNOPEN-APPLE CLOSED-APPLE TABENTER ESC CONTROL CAPS-LOCKThe price for the SPACEBAR or ESC keycapsis $6.80 each, with no minimum number.

(editorial comment)REGARDING APPLE II"KEYCAP SHARKS"I looked through the ads at others' offersfor these keycaps - some are charging as high as$8.95 each for these keycaps or keyswitches.Yes, $8.95 for EACH KEYCAP! That high priceis outrageously disgusting. No one at the annualKansasFest conference overcharges at all; Someat K-Fest give away their surplus items for free. The predatorswho overcharge are not part ofthe Apple II community; they are "sharks" who haveheard that there is big money to be made from AppleII loyalists. These "sharks" would likely sell admissiontickets to their mother's funeral if they believed thatanyone would pay. They calculate that Apple II usersare so desperate for particular items that they will payridiculously high prices. I hope that my lower priceon these keyswitches and keycaps underpricesall the sharks, and puts them out of business!

INTERNATIONAL: SALES

TO OTHER COUNTRIES

I sell to buyers overseas also, but you MUST

plan forshippingvia 's international

trans-shipping program.For this program,

I mail the package to 's address (usually

at Illinois, then carries the package to

thebuyer's home country, for delivery.

I DO NOT mail through the USPS post office

foroverseas delivery. The problem is that

the postoffice FREQUENTLY hikes the postage

cost 3-6 times every year, so the amount

requestedin the advert is often too low.

In thepast, postage rate-hikes were done only

once each year, near the end of January. NOW,

postage cost goes up 3-5 timesper year.
