Condition

This Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch is fully functional and in excellent working condition. It has been tested end to end — it powers on, boots into EdgeOS, and all 48 ports pass link test. There is minimal wear on the chassis from normal rack use, as shown in pictures — it does not affect the functional integrity of the device whatsoever. Only the items pictured are included in this listing unless stated otherwise. This listing includes the switch, power cord, and rack mounting ears.

No SFP or SFP+ transceivers are included. The four fiber cages (2x SFP+ 10G, 2x SFP 1G) ship empty. You supply your own optics or DAC cables for the uplinks.

PoE is disabled by default and set per port. On EdgeSwitch you enable PoE on each port and choose the mode — 802.3af/at standard or 24V passive. Sending 24V passive to a standards-based (802.3af/at) device, or vice versa, can damage it, so match the mode to your powered device before enabling.

500W is the shared PoE budget across all 48 ports. That's plenty for a typical mix of APs, phones, and cameras, but you cannot draw the full 34.2W on every port at once (that would exceed 500W). Plan your PoE load against the budget for high-density deployments.

This is an EdgeSwitch, not a UniFi switch. It is managed standalone through the built-in EdgeOS web UI or CLI — it does not require, and does not use, a UniFi Network controller or any cloud account. Nothing is cloud-locked to a previous owner; it is ready to configure out of the box.
