PS1: Only supports 512, 4K, and 4Kn sectors. Hard drives with 520/528 sectors are not compatible.
PS2: The USB to SAS adapter cable requires an external DC power supply (12V/3A) or higher to function.
PS3: Because the SMART codes for SAS and SATA drives are different, there may be code mismatches when converting from SAS to SATA. This is currently unresolved, so the SMART information may be incomplete or missing after conversion, but it will not affect normal read/write operations. Buyers requiring this functionality should consider carefully before purchasing.
PS4: Huawei SSDs or HDDs are incompatible. Please do not purchase. (May be listed as whitelisted hardware.)
PS5: This adapter cable is GEN15Gbps, which is sufficient for SAS HDDs.
PS6: SAS hard drives are used in servers and incorporate many security protection detection and encryption mechanisms. Recognition may be 10-20 seconds slower than regular SATA drives. This is normal. Buyers who mind this should consider carefully before purchasing. PS7: Due to the wide variety of SAS hard drives, it's impossible to ensure compatibility with all of them. Some drives may not be recognized. Please consider this before purchasing.
Also, most drives on the market are second-hand. Second-hand drives may have many bad sectors, damaged heads, and other defects, which may cause recognition issues. If there's a slight clicking sound when powered on, it's definitely a problem with the drive itself, not with this product.
PS8: SAS hard drives do not support hot-swapping; only the USB end can be hot-swapped.
