Thefan runs constantly 24/7on this model when powered on. The fan isn't exactly loud, but it's not whisper quiet either. In a completely silent room, you'll hear the fan if you'rewithin a few feet. If it's in a closet, chances are you'll never hear it until you open the door. Just thought I'd be honest and open about that.
This revision requires you to remove the top cover to replace the batteries by removing (x6) screws. The cover is easy to remove, but do so at your own risk. Seek professional help if uncertain. See pictures for overview. In one picture, I've circled the screw holes in red that contain the screws that need removed to remove the cover.! ! ! Rack Mount Bracket Ears areNOTIncluded ! ! !I tested each unit using the following method:
1.) Cleaned each unit with compressed air. 2.) Fully charged each UPS.
3.) Each UPS passed the battery self-test. 4.) Tested each AC outlet on the back of the UPS for functionality. 5.) Connected a 75W light to the UPS. 6.) Unplugged the UPS from the wall outlet to test for proper transfer during a power outage. 7.) Ran each UPS on battery, with the light powered on for (3) minutes. At the end of the test, the LCD display indicated roughly (42) minutes of runtime remaining. Runtime, can and will vary by a few minutes per unit and is ultimately based on the load of the devices attached. Remember the batteries areUsedand runtime isn't guaranteed. 8.) Recharged UPS back to 100% charge.Items Included:
