Lexmark has made the 100XLA type cartridges dependent on the tiny electronic chips. Basically, when you run "out of ink" on your Lexmark printer, the printer is actually reading a message from the chip that says the cartridge is "empty". This causes the printer to send a signal to replace the cartridge.
NOW... you can refill your Lexmark 100XLA type cartridges and simply add a new compatible chip ... which will be recognized by your printer as "new" ... thereby allowing you to print with your newly refilled cartridge just as though it were a new (expensive) original cartridge!

INK: High quality, UV resistant dye based compatible inks. Each refill will require about 6-8 mils - therefore, this kit will give you about 4-6 refills of each color. Black requires 14-16 mils and will give you about 2-3 refills.
CHIP:These are compatible chips for Lexmark 100XLA type cartridges. They will allow your printer to recognize the cartridge as FULL. The used chips are simply removed from the OEM cartridges and the new chip positioned directly in place of the old. This process takes just seconds and once done the cartridge may be refilled with ink and reused again. The refill kit solution requires no modification to the cartridges and each chip is exactly the same size as the OEM chip.
