This module only works with the upper Edge E phones. It is not compatible with the entry models.

The phone is not included. This is the sidecar only. It attaches to an Edge E400, E450, E500 or E550 that you already have.

Works No Matter Who Your Phone Provider Is

This is a hardware accessory for the phone, not for the phone system. It bolts to the Edge E, draws power from it and is driven by it. The module does not care which carrier or platform provisioned your handset. If you have a Poly Edge E400, E450, E500 or E550 on your desk, this attaches to it.

Poly Edge E phones get deployed by a long list of hosted VoIP providers, and this module works with the phone in all of those environments:

Zoom Phone Poly Edge E is a supported desk phone on Zoom Phone deployments. 8x8 Commonly supplied with 8x8 seats. Nextiva Poly is a standard handset option on Nextiva. RingCentral, Vonage, GoTo, Dialpad, Intermedia Poly Edge E handsets are deployed across the major hosted platforms. On-premise and open SIP BroadWorks, Metaswitch, FreePBX, 3CX and similar, wherever an Edge E is registered.

22 Keys, 66 Assignments

Twenty-two physical line keys, each with its own LED status indicator, across a 5 inch color display. Page through three screens and you have 66 programmable assignments on one module.

• Busy lamp field. See at a glance who is on a call, who is ringing and who is free, without asking or transferring blind.
• One-touch transfer. Move a caller to the right person with a single key instead of navigating a directory mid-conversation.
• Speed dials. The numbers a front desk or dispatcher actually uses, permanently under a finger.
• Color labels on screen. Names appear on the LCD rather than on a paper insert you have to reprint every time somebody changes desks.
• Add a second module. On an E500 or E550 the USB-C port daisy chains another unit, taking you to 132 assignments.

Why This One

• This is what a receptionist desk actually needs. Twelve line keys on a phone is fine for a user. For whoever answers the main number, seeing the whole office at once is the difference between transferring confidently and putting people on hold to go find someone.
• Color LCD instead of paper labels. Names live on the screen and change in the configuration, not on a printed insert that goes stale the day somebody moves desks.
• 66 assignments on one module. Three pages of 22, which covers most small and mid-size offices on a single sidecar.
• Everything for the install is in the box, including the Allen wrench. Desk stand, interconnection bracket, screws and the tool. It locks on with tabs, two screws go in, and you are done. No trip to the toolbox.
• Genuine Poly, not a third-party console. Matches the Edge E finish and profile, and provisions through the phone rather than needing its own configuration.
• No extra power supply, no extra outlet. It draws everything it needs from the host phone, so a crowded desk does not gain another wall wart.
• Supply is tight. At least one major VoIP retailer currently shows this part on backorder, and list price is $299.95.

Before You Buy

• Confirm your phone model first. Edge E400, E450, E500 and E550 only. The E220, E320 and E350 do not support an expansion module at all.
• Poly's published compatibility list dates from August 2022. If you are running a newer Edge E model or recent firmware, confirm against Poly's current documentation before purchasing.
• Running two modules? Check your phone's power source. A single module needs nothing extra. Users who daisy chain a second one report that the host phone's power source matters, so on a dual-module E500 or E550 verify your PoE class or use the phone's power supply.
• No tools needed. The module locks onto the phone with tabs and is secured with the included bracket and screws, and the Allen wrench is in the box. Nothing to go find in a drawer, and it takes a couple of minutes.
• Wall mount sold separately. The desk stand is included; the wall mount kit is a different part.
• Sold as-is with no returns. New in box, but please confirm compatibility before buying and ask anything you need to know first.
