This cable has SFF-8643 dual connector to 2x SFF-8639 U.2 connectors and is about 31 inches, or 80 cm long. Power is provided to the U.2 drives via 2 4-pin molex power connectors. This cable is wired specifically for Broadcom's 9400 series HBA controllers to enable Tri-Mode NVMe U.2 drive connectivity. It may not work with any other setups.
This cable has been verified to work with the following cards for NVMe U.2 drives:
- Broadcom 9400-8i- Broadcom 9400-16i- Lenovo 430-8i- Lenovo 430-16i
PLEASE NOTE: Your Broadcom 9400 series controller must be running Tri-Mode firmware for this cable to work with U.2 NVMe drives. All 9400 series controllers bought from my store will already have the Tri-Mode firmware.Feel free to ask any questions if you're interested in this cable. :-)
