MediaTek MT7925B22M Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 M.2 Wireless Module

This compact M.2 wireless module combines tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4 and Bluetooth Low Energy, providing high-speed networking, improved connection reliability and efficient support for modern wireless peripherals.
The MT7925B22M supports the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz frequency bands, allowing a compatible system to select the most appropriate band according to range, network congestion and performance requirements. With a 2×2 transmit-and-receive architecture, channel bandwidths of up to 160 MHz and a maximum theoretical wireless transfer rate of approximately 2,882 Mbps, the module is suitable for demanding applications such as high-resolution streaming, cloud gaming, video conferencing, large-file transfers and low-latency network access.
Advanced Wi-Fi 7 Technology
The MT7925B22M supports the latest IEEE 802.11be Wi-Fi 7 standard, while maintaining backward compatibility with earlier IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax wireless networks. This enables the module to connect to both current Wi-Fi 7 infrastructure and existing Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 5 and legacy access points.

Bluetooth 5.4 and Bluetooth Low Energy
Integrated Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity enables the MT7925B22M to connect with wireless headphones, speakers, keyboards, mice, game controllers and other Bluetooth-enabled equipment. Bluetooth Low Energy support is suitable for peripherals requiring efficient power consumption, while compatible operating systems and devices may also support features such as Bluetooth LE Audio.
MediaTek’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth coexistence technology is designed to help both wireless functions operate reliably when sharing the 2.4 GHz spectrum, reducing interference between simultaneous Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections.
Compact M.2 Design
The MT7925B22M is designed as a compact M.2 2230 wireless module for systems equipped with a compatible M.2 wireless-card slot. Its small form factor makes it suitable for:

Compatibility Notice
Before purchasing, check that the target device has:
- A compatible M.2 wireless-card slot rather than an M.2 storage-only slot.
- Support for standard PCIe/USB wireless modules rather than a proprietary interface.
- Two compatible antenna cables.
- Operating-system drivers for the MediaTek MT7925 series.
- BIOS or firmware support for replacement wireless modules.
- A Wi-Fi 7 or Wi-Fi 6E router when 6 GHz operation is required.
Availability of the 6 GHz band depends on the operating system, driver version, router capabilities and local wireless regulations. Bluetooth features may also vary according to the operating system and connected peripheral. Dell, for example, notes that Bluetooth functionality can vary by operating system.
Performance Notice
The stated 2,882 Mbps figure is a theoretical maximum wireless link rate. Actual network throughput will be lower and will depend on the router, channel width, signal strength, antenna design, interference, operating system, driver version and network conditions.
For full Wi-Fi 7 performance, the module must be used with a compatible Wi-Fi 7 access point, appropriate drivers and supported operating-system features. Connection to older routers remains possible, but performance will be limited to the capabilities of the connected network
