Thirty 2.5 inch enterprise SAS drives, sold as-is for parts, repair or experimentation. All thirty are the same model and came from the same batch. They arrive in the anti-static bags shown in the photos.

We tested 4 of the 30 on an LSI SAS2008 HBA in IT mode before listing. We are publishing exactly what we found:

The recorded hours on this batch are not trustworthy. Every drive tested reports a power-on time of 0 hours and only 2 start-stop cycles, while its own transfer counters show 50 to 90 terabytes of data read. Both cannot be true. The SMART logs were reset at some point before we acquired these, so no hour figure on any unit in this lot can be relied upon — including the 26 we did not test.
Grown defect entries are permanent and do not clear. All four samples had at least one. We have no reason to think the other 26 are different, and we are not going to imply otherwise.
WHAT WE ARE AND ARE NOT CLAIMING
- All four tested units did power up, enumerate on the HBA at full 300 GB capacity, and return a SMART health status of OK. They are not bricks.
- The remaining 26 are completely untested. We have not powered them on.
- We are not warranting that any drive in this lot is fit for storing data. Assume every one of them is worn.
Sensible uses: lab and homelab practice, RAID and ZFS testing, SAS controller and cabling test hardware, caddy and PCB donors, rare-earth magnet and platter recovery, e-waste reclamation.

Ships free via USPS Ground Advantage. Thirty 2.5 inch drives is a heavy box; they will be packed in their bags with padding between layers.

No returns accepted. This lot is priced as scrap-and-parts stock precisely because we are telling you up front what is wrong with it. Please buy accordingly, and ask any question before purchasing rather than after.
