Reference
How to read our grades We grade every laptop, desktop and smart device to the R2v3 (SERI) equipment grading scale — the recognized standard for refurbished IT. Each item gets two codes: a C code for cosmetic condition and an F code for how it functions and what was tested. You'll see a combined grade like C4 F4 in the listing above. C — Cosmetic (appearance) C9New, open box — unused, packaging opened C8Unused — new condition, no original box C7Certified pre-owned — restored to like-new C6Excellent — very light wear, fully cleaned C5Very good — minor marks, no missing parts C4Good — normal wear, no damage to hinges/latches C3Fair — visible wear; some trim may be missing C2Poor — heavy wear; sold as-is C1Damaged — for parts / recovery F — Functional (how it works) F6Like new — OEM parts, meets factory spec, zero defects F5Refurbished — fully tested, OS loaded & licensed F4Hardware functional — all hardware tested, no OS installed F3Key functions working — core functions tested; some parts may be absent (listed per item) F2Verified specialty — checked, no known defects F1Collectible / specialty — rare or vintage; may have missing parts
Example: C4 F4 = good cosmetic condition, with all hardware tested and confirmed working.
