This listing is for one lot of 9 hard disk drives, SATA, 3.5\", 7200RPM of 5 different models:

• 4 drives of Western Digital/Dell model WD2502ABYS, 250GB, SATA II, 16MB cache; note that these are WD drives labeled for Dell
• 2 drives of Seagate model ST250DM000, 250GB, SATA III, 16MB cache
• 1 drive of Seagate model ST3250620NS, 250GB, SATA II, 16MB cache
• 1 drive of Seagate model ST3160812AS, 160GB, SATA II, 8MB cache
• 1 drive of Seagate/Maxtor model 6L300S0, 300GB, SATA I, 16MB cache; note that the Maxtor was acquired by Seagate

These were pulled from computers years ago and have been sitting in a closet for potential use as spares but are no longer needed. Each drive has been tested in the following method:

• First, the drive is fully wiped using a specialized device to erase/copy hard drives.
• Second, the drive is connected to a computer and scanned for bad sectors using specialized software.
• Third, a test partition is created, and a test text file is copied to the drive and then opened.
• If any of these actions fail or bad sectors are found, the drive is put aside to be destroyed.

Note that:

• We use Seagate SeaTools software because it allows testing multiple drives at the same time, and works with most hard drive manufacturers and models. While the software we used did not detect any bad sectors or SMART errors, it may be possible a drive can become damaged during shipping. If you find a drive is dead, has over 5 bad sectors, or fails to pass the SMART Check, Short Drive Self Test or Long Generic Test due to reasons other than finding bad sectors, please contact us within 3 days of receiving the drives, providing a screen-shot of the drive info including the serial number. Note that in most cases, bad sectors will be remapped to the spare sectors section of the hard drive and the drive will format to 100% of the disk space.
• The drives are used and out of the manufacturer\'s warranty. As such, we do not provide any warranties, or accept returns unless we are contacted within 3 days of the date you received the drives.
• There is nothing installed on the drives now; they contain only a test partition and test file, no operating system is installed.

• Please do not request us to ship immediately because you are going out of town, etc., as we do our best to ship quickly and within the shipping/handling time specified after cleared payment.
• Items are sent to your address, no exceptions, so make sure it is correct, especially if you recently moved.
• Safe packing, insurance, and tracking is included in the shipping & handling fee; tracking numbers are provided.
• We cannot be held responsible for carrier delays, or lost/damaged items; insurance takes care of this.
