LGA 1851 sockets use hundreds of extremely fine contact pins that are easy to damage during handling. To protect them, the Core Ultra 7 265KF is shipped already seated in the motherboard socket with the retention bracket closed.

This keeps the socket covered and supported in transit, eliminates one delicate installation step for you, and means both components travel as a single protected assembly. If you prefer to receive them separated, message me before purchase and I will accommodate the request.

Note: DDR5-6400 is the native supported memory speed of the Core Ultra 7 265KF — this kit is matched to the platform, not overspecified for it. Enable the XMP 3.0 profile in BIOS to run at full rated speed.
