The 95P3933 is the Dell branded IBM LTO3 full height internal SCSI tape drive.
The Ultrium 3 half height tape drive is the third generation in the LTO Ultrium family and was manufactured by IBM for many vendors including Dell, Tandberg and others for use in libraries, autoloaders and of course as standalone internal and external drives.
The Ultrium 3 offers 400GB native capacity or 800GB compressed capacity on a single tape at speeds of up to 60MBps; 216GB/hour native. Speed matching dynamically matches tape speed to host data transfer rate improving tape cartridge reliability and longevity by preventing shoe-shining and giving an overall performance advantage over similar drives as well as exceptional reliability.
Interface options for the half height Ultrium 3 include U160 LVD SCSI, 3Gbps SAS, 6Gbps SAS and fibre. The LTO3 is also read and write compatible with LTO2 media and read only compatible with LTO1 media. This gives excellent backwards compatibility with past generations of the LTO family.
