I guess at this point I should just list SCSI equipment in "vintage computing." The sticker on this drive says it's over 20 years old, after all, and even though some interconnects remain current (USB was shipping mass-market implementations 30 years go, for example) SCSI isn't one of them.
Anyway, this is an IBM 73GB SCSI hard drive, with SCA 80-pin connector, in a drive sled that I think is compatible with certain models of pSeries POWER-based machines. (POWER5, looks like?) I don't have such a machine to test, but I removed the drive from the tray and verified that it worked by plugging into a standard SCSI adapter. Drive is only lightly tested, however, and as alluded to, it is. . . somewhat past its warranty. It's got a lot of part numbers -- the drive itself is FRU 17R6169, model HUS103073FL3800, the tray is 97P4178, the adapter is 53P5456, and I think the entire assembly is 00P3833.
