Rare Vintage Early Computer Magnetic Storage Disk Platters
Here is a pair of vintage magnetic computer storage platters believed to be from an early mainframe or large computer disk storage system.Each platter measures approximately 14 inches in diameter and features a brown magnetic oxide coating used on early data storage media.
What makes this set especially interesting is that both platters were used as employee farewells.One side of each platter is covered with hand inscribed signatures from coworkers, while the reverse sides remain blank.
