- The System x3550 server supports 512 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB and 4 GB PC2-5300 667 MHz ECC Chipkill DDR2 Fully Buffered DIMM memory.
- The System x3550 servers can address a maximum of 32 GB of system memory when you add a 4 GB PC2-5300 667 MHz ECC Chipkill DDR2 Fully Buffered DIMM in each of the eight DIMM slots.
- All supported system memory is addressable through direct memory access.
- All supported DIMMs can coexist in the same system. Memory must be populated in pairs.
