Using a PCIe Gen4 x8 host interface, it delivers up to 32 Gb/s line-rate throughput per port with full support for NVMe over Fabrics (FC-NVMe), making it ideal for all-flash array connectivity and latency-sensitive virtualisation workloads. This listing includes the card with its half-height bracket installed plus two genuine Avago/Broadcom AFBR-57G5MZ-EL5 32G short-wave SFP+ transceivers fitted and ready to go. The card is backward compatible with 16GFC and 8GFC fabrics and has been tested and validated for use in Dell PowerEdge servers.

Transceiver & Cabling Note: This HBA uses SFP+ optical ports — standard copper patch cables will not work. You will need LC Duplex multimode fibre patch cables (OM3, OM4, or OM5) to connect to your Fibre Channel switch. Two AFBR-57G5MZ-EL5 32G SFP+ transceivers are included and already fitted. For longer distances (up to 10 km), Emulex-approved long-wave single-mode transceivers can be substituted.
