Travel straight back to 2004 and the absolute golden era of mid-2000s desktop computing with an authentic classic battlestation: an original Dell Dimension 3000 Mid-Tower PC!

Finished in Dell’s celebrated two-tone midnight-gray and charcoal livery with its curved lower intake scoop, center power medallion, and glowing status ring, the Dimension 3000 is one of the most reliable and iconic workhorse platforms for Socket 478 computing. Powered by an authentic Intel Pentium 4 processor clocked at 2.80GHz (512KB L2 cache, 800MHz/533MHz FSB architecture) and 512MB of DDR SDRAM, this machine powers up cleanly directly into its factory Dell A03 BIOS setup screen.

Equipped with dual optical drives—including an upper dark-bezel CD-RW drive and a secondary Sony Double Layer DVD±RW multi-burner—plus front and rear USB 2.0 ports, 10/100 Ethernet networking, dual legacy PS/2 ports, DB-25 parallel printer port, RS-232 serial COM port, and native analog VGA video output (ideal for connecting directly to external CRT monitors or vintage 4:3 LCDs), it delivers an authentic, rock-solid foundation for turn-of-the-millennium PC computing.

For retro PC gamers, vintage hardware collectors, and archivists, Socket 478 platforms provide the perfect sweet spot for late-DOS, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows 2000, or Windows XP environments. The system powers on and works cleanly (posts smoothly to BIOS as pictured). It is sold without an internal hard drive, leaving it wide open for you to drop in an IDE/PATA hard disk, CompactFlash-to-IDE adapter, or DOM SSD and configure your dream retro gaming setup for classic titles like Half-Life, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, StarCraft, Warcraft III, The Sims, RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, Age of Empires II, and Unreal Tournament!

Condition Notes

• Functional Condition: Bench-tested and verified working. Powers on immediately and posts cleanly to the Dell A03 BIOS setup screen (system clock, Pentium 4 2.80GHz CPU, L2 cache, and memory are all detected accurately). Internal cooling fans spin freely, optical drive activity lights respond, and the onboard VGA port outputs a crisp, rock-solid display signal. Please note: As pictured and stated, no hard drive or operating system is included; the buyer will need to supply their own storage drive, configure BIOS settings, and install their desired OS.

• Cosmetic Condition: Great vintage condition overall. The two-tone dark gray mid-tower chassis, side panels, and front bezels are structurally solid with no cracked plastic, broken latches, or dented metal panels. Shows light, normal cosmetic surface marks and faint shelf wear consistent with age and careful handling. Original case badges, rear service tag barcode label (34CZ461), and chassis serial stickers remain intact and fully legible. Please review the high-resolution photos for an exact look at physical condition.
