Collectors LOOK!!!!! New Original NEW Atari DOS(Disk Operating System) 2.5 with Owners Manual for 1050 Disk Drive. Early 1050 disk drives were shipped with DOS 3.0. Due to major compatibility problems with the Atari 810/DOS II the Dos 3.0 was discontinued and replaced by DOS 2.5. The DOS 2.5 worked with all dives on the market. Another added bonus Atari added a 130XE Ramdisk to DOS 2.5. Most Atari 1050 Disk Drives were shipped with DOS 3.0. DOS 3.0 was a good operating system just not compatible with single density disk drives. DOS 2.5 on a Single density disk work with all Atari disk drives including the Atari 810. We normally ship DOS 2.5 on a Double Density disk so if you only have a Single Density Disk Drive such as an Atari 810 be sure to request the DOS 2.5 on a Single Density Disk. The DOS 2.5 on Single Density Disk is identical to the DOS on a Double Density Disk. The only difference is the format of the disk. The DOS is the same on both disk.
