Commodore VIC-1212 Programmer’s Aid Cartridge for the Commodore VIC-20. Made in Japan. Copyright 1981 Commodore Business Machines, Inc., and 1979, 1981 Palo Alto I.C.S.
The Programmer’s Aid was one of Commodore’s own utility cartridges for the VIC-20, the first home computer to sell a million units. It plugged into the VIC’s expansion port and added commands to the built-in BASIC that made writing and editing programs much easier, including automatic line numbering, renumbering, finding and changing text within a program, deleting line ranges, tracing program execution, and programmable function keys. The software was developed by Palo Alto I.C.S., as credited on the back label.
Cartridge only. Untested, as I don’t have a VIC-20 to try it on. Sold as-is.
Good vintage condition. The front label is clean and bright. The case shows light surface marks, and the copyright sticker on the back is toned and stained. The edge connector contacts look clean and bright with no visible corrosion. Please see photos for full condition.
