How to Remove iCloud Lock from Your iPadOption 1: From the iPad Itself
  1. Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
  2. Choose Sign Out and follow the prompts. Enter your Apple Account password on your device if requested.
  3. Open General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Erase All Content and Settings. Follow the prompts to erase your personal data.
  4. For cellular models, remove your SIM card and personal eSIM as appropriate.

Confirm that Find My and Activation Lock are no longer linked to your account.

Option 2: Remove from iCloud.com (Remote Removal)
  1. Go to iCloud.com/find and sign in to your Apple Account.
  2. Select the device you want to remove.
  3. If it still contains your personal data, erase it and allow the erase process to complete.
  4. Choose Remove This Device / Remove from Account and follow the prompts to remove Activation Lock.
