ASUS PRIME Z390-A ATX LGA1151 motherboard being sold FOR PARTS OR REPAIR due to a RAM slot/socket issue.The motherboard successfully POSTs into BIOS and has been tested with both an Intel Core i5-8400 and Intel Core i7-9700K.Testing completed:
- Successfully POSTed with Intel Core i5-8400
- Successfully POSTed with Intel Core i7-9700K
- CPU recognized correctly in BIOS
- Two RAM slots tested working
- Other two RAM slots do not POST with memory installed
- PCI Express x16 slot tested successfully with a dedicated graphics card
- XMP/RAM information detected correctly in BIOS
- BIOS accessible and board remained stable during testingThe CPU socket has visible contact damage, including one damaged/missing contact. This may be related to the RAM slot issue, but I cannot guarantee that this is the only fault.The motherboard was cleaned with 91% isopropyl alcohol during testing.Because of the socket damage and the two non-working RAM slots, this motherboard is being sold AS-IS / FOR PARTS OR REPAIR.
