I installed this below the GPU and hooked the fan up to a motherboard fan header and turned the fans up to 100% in my bios and ran some games. Wow. The GPU temps dropped a solid 10C at idle and under load. I purchased this to lower the temp of my video card. This fan fit right into a slot and the 3-pin plug fit fine into a 4-pin fan plug on my motherboard (ASRock Taichi x399), and I am able to control the speed via my motherboard fan control utility. The fan is very quiet at full blast and almost silent at lower speeds, and moves good air. You can slot this right under your GPU or right above. I have a 3090 and the backplate gets quite hot due to the extra memory on the back of the PCB. I have this slotted right above my card pushing air on top. Using EVGA's ICX sensors, I'm seeing a 5-10c drop depending on my workload.These fans are PWM controllable. These aren't the quietest fans, but you don't need them going full blast either. At 40-50% PWM these fans are inaudible over my system. 3 fans combined into one interface, So, you only need to access one interface to run all the fans. Can be connected to the motherboard's 3-pin or 4-pin interface, working at full speed. But it is recommended to use one point four voltage line we sent together. Choose the voltage that suits your needs. Because different voltages with different airflow, speed, and noise. So in short, it fits as advertised, plugs right in, is quiet, moves lots of air and works great with the motherboard built in fan controller if you have one, or plugs in with the included adapter if needed.They are quiet for the speed, and it brought down the temperature on my RAID controller to safe levels without adding too much noise. The brackets are clean and sturdy enough to hold the entire assembly without worrying me that it will bend or break under its own weight.
