As aprinter tech I see alot ofprinter manufacturer that sell printers pre-programmed to run the Drum Unit only up to a certain number of prints.
Once that count is reached the machine will "Lock Up" until you purchase a new Drum Unit. That is great for suppliers but not for the end user.
