Great Rack Stand
This is my very first rolling rack mount stand. Before purchasing, I did a lot of research and ultimately decided on this one. It is used in my church to hold audio equipment. Each component mounted perfectly and the sturdy metal frame easily holds the weight. Assembly was so simple that it took 10-15 mins to put together without using the instructions. The screws were already partially screwed into their holes so there was no guesswork. The included hex key was also a nice touch. So far, there haven't been any problems. In order to make the stand fit into it's small space at church, I left the casters off and the frame was bolted to a custom made wooden platform. So, the stand is not being used exactly as intended by the manufacturer but it's still able to perform reliably. I ... This is my very first rolling rack mount stand. I bought this Griffin rolling rack mount stand to replace a similar one that I've used for 30 years, but which has gotten rusty over the years. This new rack is made from much lighter gauge steel and is screwed rather than welded together. All in all, a major step down in quality. This Ikea approach is NOT suitable for studio gear! In short, based on the low quality of this rack, I will NOT be purchasing any other Griffin products and I will NOT be recommending Griffin products to friends and colleagues in the industry.I bought this Griffin rolling rack mount stand to replace a similar one that I've used for 30 years, but which has gotten rusty over the years. A good product brought down in the packing department
This mixer stand is heavy duty and well designed. I added a couple of shelves for some non-rack equipment and it handles the weight well. Assembly was easy with a big plus for the rack mount screw holes. Too many times these are clogged with paint and you almost have to tap them out to get a screw in. Not on this unit. Well done! The stand is really heavy duty steel and I don't anticipate any problems. So why not five star? Well, two issues with the original manufacturer: 1) the ends of the two bent steel legs were rusted inside the plastic covering, and 2) the included Allen wrench was broken it two. I can kind of understand how the first issue could happen. There are situations when moisture is an unforeseen problem. But the broken Allen wrench tells me someone in the packing ...
