I just want to say I'm very happy with my SAS disk shelf purchase. Well packed for shipping, they included all drive trays and interposers, and even threw in the right SAS cable to hookup to my HBA. Only thing missing was a manual and a standard PC power cord, of which I have several spares lying around - so it was plug-n-play good to go. Perfect for ZFS! +5 would buy again from this seller

I was shocked by the shipping at first but after receiving the item completely understand it now. The Jbod works perfectly, make sure to purchase a SAS controller that is preferably already flashed to IT/HBA mode since it is a pain to find one that can be and event the ones that do supports it already take effort or the drives won't be detected. This unfortunately means no h/w raid but this is exactly what I was looking for.

    Oldies but goodies!

    So, compared to a mostly equivalent device on Amazon, it costs far less with amazingly rocking good performance. Dollar for dollar, building an array this way has saved me about 75% of the cost. Thanks for keeping these old enterprise equipments out on the market for us little guys! That pic has 13x 8T drives running at super high speeds. SWEEET NAS.
