Got my drive quickly. It seems to work well. If you get a drive and it wont partition. Just use disk management to give your drive a GPT. Had to convert the drive to GPT using gpart in linux but after that it work perfectly. 10/10 would buy again. :)

    with no software to make it run its useless to anyone who buys it.

    This is a hard drive for a P.C and is not plug and play. i have been unable to find the software for this from the hitachi website. dell pc's have the software installed in their chipsets.. i do not have a dell. the hard drive is useless and to expensive to send back
