Pravetz 8M Apple II Europlus Clone Motherboard 6502 & Z80 Soviet Era Works. The 6502 CPU is a Bulgarian CM630 CPU clone which is a 100% 6502 clone. The motherboard has the 16K language card built-in slot #0 and CP/M Z80 softcard onboard. There are DIP switches on the motherboard that can switch ON/OFF the Z80 softcard, its address space, the 16K language card (OFF in case you need slot #0 to be free for your use), speaker/sound on/off, charset selection, etc...There is a LED next to the DIP switches which indicates Z80 CPU activity. Since this is a Europlus clone motherboard it does NOT output NTSC 3.58 MHz color signal. Instead it outputs 50 Hz video framerate and with a standard PAL card in slot #7 (not included) it can output PAL 4.43 MHz color video. For additional $50 the motherboard can be modified to output an NTSC color video (60 Hz framerate) but this would spoil the original appearance of this vintage motherboard. The power supply connector is non-standard and is used on Bulgarian Pravetz series computers therefore I have included one female vintage connector that should be mounted on your power supply unit. The PSU connector pinout is as follows starting from PCB's back edge and counting towards its front (keyboard connector) side: [ +12V, -5V, -12V, GND, +5V], but if in doubt you could confirm that with an ohmmeter tracing power lines to the Apple2 slots (the slots on this motherboard are compatible with the Apple][ slots, of course. The DIP16 keyboard and joystick connectors are 100% compatible with Apple ][ corresponding connectors and you can use an original Apple ][(plus) keyboard with this motherboard or any other Apple ][+ compatible keyboard. The motherboard has lowercase (that can be swapped out by Cyrillic letters on the fly via one of the DIP switches. A standard cassette input/output like on an original Apple2 motherboard is provided via a DIN5 audio connector (that was standardized on all Pravetz 8 computers with a cassette interface).
The low-quality flat panel monitor is not included and is only shown in the pictures to demonstrate the motherboard's perfect operation. Feel free to ask questions.
