These adapters work as advertised, the design may be deceiving, they are plastic and do not improve heat dissipation. Which is fine, the price reflects the material, just be aware they are plastic.

These adapter converter are perfect for what I needed. They're actually the size of a 3.5" HDD. I simply removed the 3.5" HDD, inserted a 2.5" drive into the caddy adapter, and put the adapter into the computer. It was instantly recognized by my computer and worked.I'm not quite sure why I didn't buy these sooner. I guess this was the year for me to use them. I'm glad I bought them.

Fit perfectly into my Orico 5 bay RAID enclosure. The 2.5" drives are held into the trays with the provided screws and the assembly slips into the bay snapping into place when the door is closed.
