Nice Unit, Noticeable Lag, not for gaming
Nice look and feel to metal case connectors and switch. Purchased for use with retro gaming systems, insertion lag is very noticeable, maybe 1/3 second. Colors also come through over saturated, haven't tried tweaking TV settings to correct for this.

Performs Okay
Picture quality not what I was expecting. I'm using this with a Sony VCR connected to a smart TV and it projects a decent picture except across the very top. The color is distorted and very pink along the top. Thought it might be the cheap composite cable so I upgraded and better but not much of a difference. This probably is more designed for a video camera or older game system.

A 'Must' for using 'old' equipment with 'new' TVs
The converter is small and fits most anywhere and it comes with it's own separate power supply. Just plug it in to any electrical receptacle, attach your own RCA and HDMI wires and it allows you to use your 'old' VCR or other analog type player with your 'new' TV that only has HDMI inputs.

Great product, it just did not work for me, but I don't think it's the product's fault.
Solidly made, it's metal not plastic. However this one as well as another brand, neither worked for me, but I'm thinking I have a bad video cord coming from my Wii game console as I always got sound but no video. I think it's highly unlikely after trying 2 different brands that at least one would work. I am now going to try another route. I am buying an adapter that actually plugs into the Wii game console and does not use the rca cords that are coming from the Wii console. Hopefully this will fix my problem. I tried hooking the hdmi cord through my surround receiver then going to the tv, I got audio but no video. I also tried hooking that same hdmi cord directly to the tv, again I got audio but no video. I also tried multiple hdmi cords, all got audio but no video. So I am hoping this ... Solidly made, it's metal not plastic.
