Genuine LSI 9207-8e SAS HBA 6Gbps PCI-E 3.0 P20 IT mode for ZFS FreeNAS unRAID
Listed for sale are Genuine LSI 9207-8e HBA SAS controller cards that I prepared and tested for use with ZFS. They have been flashed to Avago / LSI 9207-8e IT (Initiator Target) firmware version P20 (specifically 20.00.07.00). This card has NO BIOS ROM, and NO UEFI to speed up boot time during POST. However, this also means you CANNOT BOOT from this card and you will not see any initialization during POST. The card will only be visible after the OS driver has loaded and initialized the card.
This is a full / standard profile card.

- Original SAS address preserved
These HBA controllers are based on the LSI SAS2308 SAS controller chipset and support PCI-E 3.0 specifications with x8 lanes, providing up to 7880MB/sec bandwidth between this card and your system! The controller has 2x external SFF-8088 connector, each carrying 4 SAS lanes. You will need a compatible cable to connect these to your external JBOD chassis.
These cards are fully tested in my Supermicro server running ZFS on Linux (ZoL), but this setup is also ideal for other ZFS setups, FreeNAS, unRAID, Proxmox VE, etc. I have fully tested them using all 8 SAS lanes connecting both external SFF-8088 connectors.
