Macintosh LC computer in good working and cosmetic condition, with recapped logic board. Running System 6.0.7.
Comes with original 40 MB Quantum HDD and 1.44 MB Sony SuperDrive floppy disk drive. The HDD appears to be in good working order. The FDD has been disassembled, cleaned, and serviced with new lubricant. It has the stock RAM configuration of 2 MB but it can support up to 10 MB with additional 30-pin SIMMs.
The logic board is completely recapped with the old electrolytic caps removed and new solid state caps (tantalum and ceramic) installed. The work has been performed to a high standard with longevity in mind.
In addition, a small number of clean repairs have been performed, including one bodge wire which is intentionally hidden on the underside of the board for aesthetic reasons. This was done to repair a broken trace.
The case is in good overall shape. There are a few minor scratches and marks and a few areas of age patina, all quite inconsequential for the computer’s age. A small hairline crack one one corner of the case lid has been permanently re-bonded.
I’m confident in the quality of my restoration work. That being said, this is a 34-year-old computer, one of Apple’s first desktops ever, so please understand I cannot offer any warranties or guarantees, etc, and I don’t offer free software troubleshooting or project advice.
