This Acer Aspire 5253 overall has been reliable. With Windows 11 just installed and updated it should be a great computer for people that like functional ports, (something the newer computers are in short supply) Like having a DVD drive, SVGA, HDMI and 3 USB ports. It also has a web camera, and an SD card slot. While this computer has not impressive speed it is a steady eddy. The 500gb hard drive should have enough space for most people's storage needs. While not having a touch screen the touch pad works well and you can add a mouse if you would like finer control of the curser. I will delete my accounts on the computer (all local accounts) and remove the password leaving an administrative account that you can use to set up for the various users you may want on one laptop with the passwords you desire. If I needed this I would keep it. But I fixed it up to let someone else enjoy a fresh start. Praying this laptop continues to work for you as it has for me. I have found that it needs to be plugged in most all the time and the battery need to be locked in to charge properly. Overall it seems that this laptop was designed to run on AC power with the battery only as a backup for avoiding temporary power interruptions. It does have very low power consumption compared to all my other laptops so that is a financial real plus to me. Oh yea, forgot has wireless WIFI and Lan connections as well for your internet connectivity.
